I av always avoided the mrssi/ronaldo comparison, simply choosing to believe we are lucky to see them play. But at the end, one simply has to agree, Messi is a wizard, words cannot describe his talent But Ronaldo ‘s quest and obsession to be the best is what makes him a better player. He might not mesmerize his was past defenders or coming deep to influence play like messi but his persistence, hard work, and competitive streak is what sets him above his rival. CR7 keep proving ur doubters wrong.

The writer is sensible but senseless. You can be talented and also fail. Is Messi the only talented player in the world? No! So where are other talented players? They have not been working hard i guess! How come everything Messi does is tagged talent not hardwork? Messi is the most hardworking footballer on earth and not just talented. He plays as a Midfielder,Winger and Striker at the same time yet you call this talent? While staying in the box like ronaldo for 3hrs to nod or complete the pass and shoot is hardwork? You can see where the writer got it wrong. Ronaldo is 10-times below Messi.
If ronaldo leaves R.madrid, he will fail woefully because no other team in europe play football with 9men while the 10th man(ronaldo) waits in the box to finish only.
If Messi leaves Barca,he will still do wonders. In the absence of goals,he can make assists,create chances,unluck defence,control midfield to mention but a few.
Where was ronaldo when Barca won 3-2? I am sure if Barca had given Isco and Marcelo enough breathing space,ronaldo would have scored in that match. Where was Ronaldo when Barca won 4-0? I am sure if Isco was not sent off,ronaldo would have gotten a consolation goal for the team.
In conclusion, R.madrid plays to make ronaldo score while Messi carries the team. Without Messi, r.madrid would have won Laliga with 5-8 matches unplayed just like Bayern munich does in Budelisga. It was because of Messi that the Laliga trophy had to decided on the final fixture.
Barcelona failed to make Messi’s effort count this season with terrible signings and unrealistic line-ups from the coach which made the team lost points against teams they should easily defeat.
If we judge by performance on the pitch,a reasonable individual will agree with me that Messi has been the best player this season followed by Neymar,Isco,Marcelo etc. Ronaldo should NOT make it to Top 7. He has lost form we have almost 50matches or more in a season in all competitions. Ronaldo went missing in virtually all the matches and showed up in the last 5-7 matches,all of a sudden i hear people saying,he should win Ballon d’or,for real? While Messi showed up in virtually all the matches and went missing for only 3-5 matches and people say he is talented,this and that…….
More like saying performing well in 5-7 subjects out of 50 deserves an award while performing well in 45-47 out of 50 does NOT deserve an award. Logic for you!
We all know Baloon d’or has lost its identity. It’s more of the number of followers you have not performance on pitch so i wount be surprised to see ronaldo scooping the award home.

That is why i will forever continue to love Mourinho. He said in that C.ronaldo was overrated. I thought the man was drunk but now i have realised that what a man can see from angle 30(degrees),a boy can never see it even from angle 300(degrees).
