Information reaching the PoliticsNGR newsdesk on Thursday morning reveals that the chairman of the African Democratic Party(ADC), Bisi Ogungbemi has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Ondo state.

Ogungbemi was kidnapped alongside a Senatorial candidate of the party, Jide Ipinsigba. Ipinsagba is the ADC Senatorial Candidate in Ondo North for the 2019 general election. He formerly in APC.

An Eyewitness told newsmen that the abduction occurred on Ikare-Owo road.

“The ADC chieftains were abducted on Wednesday evening on the Ikare-Owo road after a political meeting. They were waylaid and some other party starwalts together with the driver of the vehicle were also abducted,” the source said.

The state Police command has confirmed the incident. Public Relations Officer of the Command, Mr Femi Joseph, said police detectives were sent to the scene only to discover an empty vehicle on the roadside.
