Rariya reports that chemicals from the school’s laboratory badly injured Safiya’s hand, and when the school saw they couldn’t manage the situation after two days, they sent her back to her parents who took her to the State hospital. The doctors who examined the hand after she was brought, told the family that to save Safiya’s hand, her finger has to be amputated.
