According to Prince Gwamnishu Harrison,theCEO of Behind Bars Initiative,the 17-year-old lady(Ogechukwu) pictured below is currently being detained in A Division,Asaba state for allegedly stealing.She has been in detention for five days now and was refused bail.
Her staying in police cell for the past five days was due to N15,000 bail she couldn’t provide.According to Harrison,the IPO (Corporal Ama Okereke) whose picture appears below threatened to charge her to court.Harrison said her continued detention is barbaric, inhumane and abuse of her Fundamental Human Rights by Corporal Ama Okereke.

If a poor person steal maggi or pepper they will send the person to jail but all our criminal politicians who have stole everything Nigeria has is walking the street a free man with escort. May God help the masses. I pity the poor girl,I wish I could help her. Am not in support of stealing but they should not treat her like armed robber. Hunger might have pushed her to steal.
