Group B: the first quarter-finalists

• Young Strikers FA vs Ikorodu City FA – 1-1
• G-Innovation FC vs Ecas FA – 1-0

It took a miracle for Ikorodu City to concede a goal – a Young Strikers player scored in the style of Ronaldinho in the 2002 World Cup against England. But the goal came 5 minutes before the end of the match with the score of 1-0 in favor of the designated visitors. Ikorodu held on for a draw and advanced to the quarter-finals.

Group C: a draw, worth a win

Dosu Joseph needed a win by at least 2 goals to get to the Wild Card round, but they scored more. Soccer Cardinals were shattered by a missed penalty kick when the score was 0-1.

Group A: another show from the leaders

• Collins Edwin FA vs Nath Boys FA – 3-2
• Africano FA vs 36 Lions FC – 0-1

A draw would have led Nath Boys to the quarter-finals, but they conceded in the 5th minute and failed to catch up with their opponents. Collins Edwin even scored from the center of the pitch, securing their spot in the Wild Card round.

Thanks to their first victory, 36 Lions FC climbed to 3rd place and denied Africano FA any chance of advancing from the group stage.

Group D: lack of inspiration

• FC Bethel Sporting vs Brighton FC – 2-1
• Vinmo Energy FC vs Inspire Sport Academy – 2-1
• Divine Praise FC vs Brighton FC – 3-0

Inspire Sport Academy started their match earlier than Nath Boys FA and lost in a situation where a draw would have secured them 1st place. ISA equalized, but in the 70th minute, the group leaders conceded a goal. Brighton FC became the only team to lose all their games.

Week 4 hit parade

• Ikorodu City and ISAGT are in the quarter-finals
• ISA and Nath Boys FA lost in situations where a draw would have given them 1st place

3 group stage games to go: options

Community Gunners FC need a win to get to the Wild Card round. The 1xCup 2024 runners-up will also move into 1st place if they beat Africano FA by 5 goals.

Emaljus FC vs Young Strikers FA: a draw will send both teams to the Wild Card round, while the losers will be eliminated.

FC Bethel Sporting vs Vinmo Energy FC: both clubs will finish no lower than 3rd place and could win the group. Vinmo Energy FC need a win with any score, but the reigning champions will climb to 1st place if they win by 5 goals.
