2022 WAFCON: Super Falcons Group Opponent Botswana To Play Uganda, Togo In Friendlies

Super Falcons of Nigeria Group C opponent at this year’s Women’s Cup of Nations, Botswana, will play Uganda and Togo in friendly games.

This was confirmed on Botswana Football Association Twitter handle.

The double header friendly games are part of Botswana’s preparation ahead of the WAFCON which will commence on July 2nd in Morocco.

Botswana will begin their campaign at the 2022 WAFCON against Burundi before taking on reigning champions Nigeria three days later.

They will end the group stage with a clash with Banyana Banyana of South Africa.

The 2022 WAFCON also doubles as the African qualifiers to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The top four teams will qualify for the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, and two more teams will advance to the inter-confederation play-offs.
