Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo says he’s delighted with the team’s victory over the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde in Tuesday’s 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Nigeria edged the Blue Shark 2-1 on their home soil. Recall that the host took the lead in the 18th minutes before Victor Osimhen leveled parity for the Super Eagles.

An own goal from Cape Verde in the 73rd minute earned the Super Eagles a maximum point and move top of Group C on six points.

Omeruo via his Instagram handle, lauded the team’s win over Cape Verde away from home and believe the team will keep the winning spirit going.

“Good win away from home. Naija spirit, we keep going.” He posted on his Instagram page.

The Super Eagles are top of Group C on six points and will next play the Central Africa Republic (CAR) in a double-header on October.
