2024 BET Awards: Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, others bag nominations



Famous singers, Burna Boy, Ayra Star, Tems and others bag nominations at the 2024 edition of the prestigious BET Awards slated for Sunday, June 30.

The acclaimed ‘African Giant’ bagged nominations in two prominent categories: Best Male Hip-Hop Artist and Best Male R&B/Pop Artist. This dual nomination highlights Burna Boy’s prominence in both the Hip-Hop and R&B/Pop genres.

He faces stiff competition from industry heavyweights such as Drake, Usher, Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Future, Gunna, among others.

Tems also landed nominations in the Video Director of the Year and Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award categories while Ayra Starr is set to compete with Tyla in the Best New Artist category.

Additionally, other Nigerian talents recognized include Asake and Ayra Starr for Best International Act, and Seyi Vibez for Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act.
