3 Dead,14 Injured As Gunmen Open Fire During Eid Prayer Gathering

Three people have been killed after assailants armed with guns and bombs attacked a mass prayer gathering in Bangladesh this morning.

One policeman was killed, along with a female civilian, Kishoreganj deputy commissioner Azimuddin Biswas told CNN, while another officer was wounded and died later in hospital. Up to 14 other officers were injured in the fight.

More than 300,000 worshipers were praying for the festival of Eid in an area called Sholakia, 62 miles (100 kilometers) northeast of Dhaka, when the attack began.
