An 80-year-old Japanese woman reportedly scammed £5,000 by a man claiming to be an astronaut stranded in space.

According to the post shared on Instablog’s X account, the woman reportedly met the fraudster on social media in July 2025 and developed an online relationship with him.

According to the post, the scammer claimed he urgently needed oxygen to survive.
