Mercy Chinwo Threatens To Sue Nigerian Singer

Popular gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo has threatened to sue fellow singer, Obidiz Lawson.

According to Chinwo, Obidiz defamed her.

Obidiz released an album last month with one of the single tracks titled ‘Mercy Chinwo’.

In a notice to the singer, Mercy frowned over the usage of her name in a disparaging and derogatory manner.

She warned Obidiz to take down the song on all streaming platforms as well as promotional videos on all social media platforms. 

The gospel singer also demanded that Obidiz tenders a public apology, expressing remorse over the use of her name in a derogatory manner.

She added that failure to meet the conditions will attract a lawsuit against him and would pay damage in the sum of two billion Naira.
