BRT Bus Set Ablaze After Colliding With Commercial Bus In Lagos

There was a tragic accident involving a BRT Bus and a commercial bus on Wednesday, April 19, at Ifako inwards Ogudu Bridge.

The commercial bus driver reportedly died at the scene while many passengers were injured.

Subsequently, an angry mob set the BRT bus ablaze.

Confirming the accident, spokesman for the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) blamed the collision on the buses’ excessive speed.

The spokesman added that the BRT bus caught fire, aggravating the congestion along the axis, and the rain compounded the gridlock.

LASTMA officials have been deployed to the accident scene to manage the traffic.
