Their confirmation followed the consideration of the screening report by the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions.

The nomination of Dr. AbdulHakeem AbduLateef as Chairman of the Governing Board of the Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), representing Southwest, has been confirmed by the Senate yesterday.

Also confirmed were nominees for appointment as members of the NDIC Board. They are Prof. Osita Ogbu (Southeast); Umar Jibrin (North Central); Mohammed Haruna (Northeast); Yasmine Zaabatt Amin Dalhatu (Northwest); Simon Ogie (Southsouth) and Abimbola Olashore (Southwest).

Their confirmation followed the consideration of the screening report by the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions, which was presented by chairman of the committee, Senator Uba Sani (APC – Kaduna Central).
