Air Vice Marshal, Hassan Abubakar has assumed office as the new Chief of Air Staff.

Recall that the President, Bola Tinubu, on Monday, announced the retirement and replacement of the service chiefs.

Abubakar becomes the 22nd Chief of Air Staff, taking up the mantle in a formal ceremony on Thursday.

Speaking at the handing and taking over ceremony on Thursday, the former CAS, Air Marshal Oludayo Amao, said despite the challenges his tenure recorded many successes.

He urged his successor to ensure the service attain a greater height under his watch.
