Adamawa Police arrest man for allegedly raping 4 year old

Operatives of the Adamawa state police command attached to Girei Division while on Confidence Building Patrol along Sangere Girei Road, have arrested a 32-year-old man identified as Mika Bitrus a resident of Sangere for allegedly raping a 4-year-old.

According to the statement issued by the spokesperson of the command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the suspect was arrested on the basis of a complaint by the victim’s mother, Fatsuma Abdullahi. According to him, the investigation has revealed that the suspect is a carpenter and a father of one. According to him, he used the victim who was his neighbour.

Nguroje said that State Police Commissioner Afolabi Babatola had assured him that criminals of such a attitude would never escape punishment.
