People Risk Lives to Collect Fuel from Tanker Spill on Otedola Bridge (Video)

Despite warnings against scooping fuel from fallen tankers, many gathered with buckets and bowls to scoop fuel from the roadside when a tanker carrying diesel fell and spilt its contents.

The tanker was travelling along the Otedola Bridge in Lagos when it crashed into a white vehicle and fell to its side.

As the contents of the trailer poured onto the street, residents immediately rushed out with containers to fetch diesel for themselves. Some scooped from the roadside while others climbed the fallen tanker to scoop fuel from it.
