Kizz Daniel Addresses Controversy Over Ivory Coast Show: Denies Arrest, Explains Money Dispute

Nigerian music sensation Kizz Daniel has responded to allegations of being apprehended in Ivory Coast for purportedly accepting payment and then declining to put on a performance.

In a statement shared on his Instagram page, the artist explained that his agent had signed a contract containing the stipulation “no payment, no performance.” He went on to clarify that he had agreed to travel and perform, despite encountering a delay in a bank transfer and a commitment to receive his performance fee upon arrival in the country.

Kizz Daniel also mentioned that he went ahead with his performance even though he hadn’t received the payment. However, the performance was interrupted when his team was attacked backstage. The singer also confirmed that he was not taken into custody and has since departed the country.

Kizz Daniel wrote:

“This might definitely get a lot of people in trouble but damn, enough is enough /

*CAF didn’t deal with us directly, it was through an agent

* The agent signed my contract which states “no money no performance”

* I agreed to fly in regardless, after sO many appeal and of cuz excuses on bank transfer delay with the promise of receiving the money upon arrival in Abidjan

*Till now no payment , not even the alleged amount mentioned

*I still chose to support CAF and went ahead to the venue to perform without payment, but unfortunately my 3 min performance slot was up.

* my team were assaulted back stage and i decided to take my leave

I am not arrested by CAF OR DETAINED WHATSOEVER e] AM FINE AND HEADING TO LONDON FOR MY SHOW NOV 12, OVO ARENA , WEMBLEY”
