Omobayo sworn in as Edo deputy governor

Omobayo Godwin has been sworn in as Edo state Deputy Governor. 

This comes hours after Philip Shaibu was impeached by the state House of Assembly. Governor Godwin Obaseki this morning, nominated 37-year-old Omobayo as his Deputy shortly after the impeachment of Philip Shaibu.

Omotayo was sworn in around 1:40 pm on Monday by Edo Chief Judge Justice Daniel Okungbowa in a ceremony held at the Edo State Government House in Benin City.
