In a recent podcast appearance, Elon Musk ignited controversy by accusing a powerful Brazilian Supreme Court Justice, Alexandre de Moraes, of attempting to censor social media.

Musk claimed Twitter received repeated demands from Justice de Moraes to suspend the accounts of sitting members of Congress and prominent journalists. He stated that Twitter could not reveal the judge’s involvement and instead had to attribute the suspensions to violations of the platform’s own policies.

These accusations have sparked outrage in Brazil. Critics accuse Justice de Moraes of overreach and stifling freedom of speech. The Brazilian government has yet to comment on the matter.
