Traders spared as trailer carrying two 20ft containers falls on top of Liverpool Bridge in Apapa (video)

Traders escaped death on Thursday morning, 30th May 2024, as a truck carrying two 20-foot containers fell on the Liverpool bridge in Apapa Lagos.

The truck was ascending the bridge, moving towards Tin Can port, when it suddenly lost its grip and started going on a backward slope until it somersaulted and the containers fell, an eyewitness said in a video taken at the scene.

The containers fell off the bridge but did not fall all the way down the bridge, thanks to the fenders constructed on the bridge.

The video shared online shows traders under the bridge giving thanks that the containers did not fall all the way down.

 Fortunately, no life was lost.
