Abuja bank robbery: Angry residents burn robber’s corpse after policeman’s death (video)

Some angry residents of the Abaji area council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) set ablaze the corpse of one of the armed robbers neutralized by security operatives after the foiled bank robbery. 

The armed robbers numbering 15 invaded the community on Thursday evening and attacked First Bank and the police divisional headquarters simultaneously. 

setnaligiHowever, a combined team of police, soldiers, v and hunters quickly mobilized to the scene and engaged the robbers in a fierce gun battle, which led to the killing of two suspects. 

The spokesperson of the command, SP Josephine Adeh, who confirmed the incident in a statement said an angry mob seized one of the corpses and set it ablaze. 

She noted that a police inspector who was hit by a bullet during the operation was confirmed dead at the hospital where he was rushed to.
