Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has lost his mother, Florence Morenike Saraki.

The sad news was announced on Tuesday evening by TVC News in a statement on social media.

Florence Morenike Saraki, aged 88, was the widow of Olusola Saraki, a Senator in the Second Nigerian Republic and a political icon in Kwara until his death in 2012.

The family had celebrated her 88th birthday in August 2023.
