Kanayo calls out teen actress Angel Unigwe and her mother over contract breach

Veteran movie actor, Kanayo O Kanayo calls out teen actress Angel Unigwe and her mother for allegedly breaching a contract.

The movie star revealed that Angel Unigwe’s mother is in the habit of breaching agreements with movie producers after receiving payment, and he hadn’t experienced this until it happened to him recently.

He revealed that he had had an agreement with Angel’s mother for the teen actress to be part of a movie shoot till 12 am.

However, at about 9 pm, Angel’s mother came to the set and took her daughter away, breaching their contract.

Kanayo noted that this isn’t the first time she is doing something like this.

He called on all producers to desist from working with Angel Unigwe from today, 21st of June, 2024.

The actor warned that any set that goes against this to shoot a movie with the young actress, he would come and ensure that filming doesn’t hold.

He stressed that there was no issue that had occurred between him and the actress, but the mother had been the problem, threatening many producers.

Kanayo said the actress was on a movie set with him when the mum came in and forcefully took her away without respecting the contract they had with her. 

‘’I am making this video to save and protect the entertainment industry in Nigeria. A particular woman has been holding producers to ransom and this is unfortunate it has happened to me.

Unfortunately, she is Angel Unigwe’s mother, the actress. A contract is reached by every producer either orally or written and it is all respected. I found out that immediately this woman takes money from you, everything changes, I have gotten reports from people before it happened to me”

Speaking further, he said;

‘’Last night she took her daughter at 9pm when a particular day we agreed had not expired. 12 midnight is expiring into another day, She came at 9pm and took her daughter.”

He went on to threaten to disrupt any set that has Angel working on it henceforth.

‘’This is a clarion call to every producer, in the name of professionalism and all that all that unites us, from this moment, 21st day of June 2024, any set that employs the services of Angel Unigwe, I will come to that set and make sure filming does not hold. You guys no what it is for an artiste to walk out on the set, There was no issue. We had very good working relationship with Angel. Her mother has been threatening to many producers””

Angel and her mum have not responded yet.
