Niger Governor gifts corps members N200k each; budgets N5bn for NYSC camp (Video)

Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umaru Bago generously gifts each of the NYSC members deployed to the state with a sum of N200,000 bonus.

‏This gesture aimed to encourage the corps members to remain in the state and complete their service in the state.

The announcement was met with enthusiastic cheers and applause from the recipients, who were clearly thrilled by the surprise bonus.

T the NYSC Batch B, Stream 1 orientation ceremony at the temporary camp in Paikoro, the governor announced that corps members who pursue agricultural ventures can earn a monthly income of N500,000.

Additionally, he revealed a N5 billion allocation for the establishment of a new NYSC camp, further demonstrating his commitment to supporting youth development and entrepreneurship in the state.

He said:

“I was told that there are 1,600 Corp members for this batch. I am crediting each of your accounts with N200,000. This will enable you to be comfortable to stay in Niger State. This is to show you that there is prosperity in Niger State. I will do my best to ensure that Corpers enjoy serving in Niger state.

I have given orders to build more toilets and drill five boreholes in this temporary camp. I will 20 cows and one trailer load of rice for the welfare of the Corpers in camp.”
