Adekunle Olopade tackles Digital Economy Minister after he condemned attack on Industrial Pack in Kano

BBNaija’s Adekunle Olopade has tackled the Digital Economy Minister, Bosun Tijani, after he condemned the vanadalization and looting of the ‘’yet to be commissioned” Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) Industrial Pack in Kano by protesters.

The protesters in Kano state during the #Endbadgovernance protest, stormed the digital park and began to loot the different items in the park. 

Reacting to the incident, Tijani in a statement released on his X handle, condemned the attack and mentioned that the commissioning of the park was supposed to hold next week.

‘’Sad to learn that our Digital Innovation Park in Kano slated for launch next week to support our technical talent accelerator (3MTT) has been set ablaze and looted by protesters. Alongside #3MTT, this building is set to host our buildathon holiday maker programme for secondary school kids starting next week. A slight setback for our journey to deepening our workforce for technology while creating job opportunities for the youth. Millions of Naira down the drain.

Reacting to Tijani’s post, Adekunle told the Minister to look at the people protesting and ask himself if the park that was vandalized was indeed established for them. 

The reality TV star said if the answer is no, it then points to the fact that this administration has failed and has spent time and effort in the wrong direction

Dear Dr Bosun, Take a look at the people who are protesting. Do they look like people who will benefit from the technical talent accelerator (3MTT)? If the immediate answer that comes to you is no, then that means your administration has spent time and effort in the wrong direction. Look inward and address immediate concerns of the people you’re actually governing. Rather than a herculean task that makes good for CV. Focus and set your priorities right and let history be just to you.”
