Yoruba protester says she was threatened by Lagos thugs who called her Igbo and told her to go back to her state (video)

A Yoruba protester has revealed that she was threatened by thugs in Lagos who thought she was Igbo.

She explained that she joined other Lagos residents for a peaceful demonstration in Ikeja and when they were done, as she was leaving, she said some thugs accosted her and called her an Igbo woman, before asking her to go back to her state to protest.

She said in a video: “They threatened me leave!”

“He said,  ‘Igbo person, what did you come here to do. We will still beat you all one by one.”

She continued: “My name is Funmi Jolade Ajayi. And even if I’m Omo Igbo, am I not a Nigerian?”
