UNICAL first female SUG President appoints 50 aides

The first female Student Union Government President of the University of Calabar, Alims Blessing Iripia, has appointed 50 aides.

Ms Alims announced the appointments in a Facebook post on Sunday, August 4, 2024. 

“After carefully examining and assessing the following individuals based on their conduct, credibility, enthusiasm, transparency, and commitment to the Students’ Union Government’s progress and advancement, I am pleased to announce the following appointments for the efficient operation of Blessing_Alims_Led_Administration,” the post read. 

According to the letter dated August 1, the appointments take immediate effect after screening and confirmation by the Senate.

The Peace Studies and Conflict Resolutions student at the Department of Political Science, who was elected on June 14, 2024, hails from Gakem, in Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State.
