Man in dilemma as mother demands to raise their child, wife refuses

A Nigerian man faces a challenging dilemma when his mother makes a request concerning raising their child which ignites his wife’s anger.

The conflict started when his mother expressed a wish to play a major role in raising her granddaughter.

The father, known on X as @IM_muaaz, turned to the platform for advice on handling this delicate situation.

He detailed that his mother wanted to care for and mentor his daughter, hoping to offer companionship and impart her values. However, his wife strongly disagreed, insisting that she was still alive and fully capable of raising their child herself.

“My mum wants me to give her my daughter so that she can train her and also get someone to play and talk with. My wife is vehemently against it saying she is not dead yet why would my mom raise the kid. I don’t know what to do,” he wrote.
