Man laments as lady he likes asks for a monthly allowance, reveals her ex gave her ₦120k

A Nigerian man recently took to social media to vent his frustration after a lady he was interested in asked him for a monthly allowance.

According to his post on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter, the woman requested a fixed amount, noting that her ex-boyfriend used to give her ₦120,000 each month.

The man shared that during the early stages of their relationship, she asked him how much he would be willing to provide monthly if she agreed to date him.

Shocked by her expectations, he admitted that he doesn’t even earn that much at his job.

In his words, “I’m currently in the talking stage with a woman. The first thing she asked me was how much I would be giving her as a monthly allowance. She mentioned that her ex used to give her 120k a month.”

He added, “Now, my monthly income is not even close to that amount. I’m wondering how I can impress a woman with high expectations while still being true to my financial situation.”

“If a guy doesn’t have money, he might find it challenging to pursue a relationship because many women may not see him as worthy.”
