Man gets N7K reward for returning N235K accidentally sent to his bank

A young Nigerian man, Robert Dzer earns widespread praise on social media for his integrity after immediately returning ₦235,000 which was mistakenly sent to his bank account.

Sharing his experience on Facebook, Robert recounted how he received a notification from OPay while taking a nap. Upon checking, he realized that a man named Ephraim had mistakenly transferred ₦235,000 to his account.

Shortly after, the owner called to explain that the money was intended for his mother’s and sister’s school fees. Robert assured him that the funds would be refunded immediately after their call.

Staying true to his word, he returned the money without delay. As a token of appreciation, Ephraim sent Robert ₦7,000 for his honesty and trustworthiness.

“This afternoon my phone vibrated while I was taking a nap. It was a notification from OPay. I checked my phone and one mister Ephraim mistakenly sent ₦235k to my account.

“A few minutes later, he called and said the money was for his mom’s and sister’s school fees. I promised to refund him immediately after the call, and I did. Oga sent me ₦7k to hold the body for being honest and trustworthy,” he stated.

Robert added that Ephraim expressed immense gratitude and couldn’t stop thanking him.
