Businesswoman accuses hospital of giving her mother expired drip

A Nigerian businesswoman has accused a hospital of giving her mother expired drip and she shared a photo to back her allegation. 

The woman took a photo of the IV fluid with the expiry date noted as 09/2024 (September 2024). 
 

She added that she called the attention of the nurse and they told her it is still effective three months after expiry, a claim some doctors on X have backed. 

However, this is January 2025, four months after the drip expired. 

In a follow-up post, she disclosed that the hospital has refunded her.
