Man Utd Captaincy, Jose Favours Pogba Over Smalling

Jose Mourinho has once again shown his ruthless side as he relegates Chris Smalling from his role of one of the captain’s of Manchester United in preference of Paul Pogba.

The Portuguese picked Michael Carrick as the captain of the Red Devils following the departure of club’s all-time topscorer Rooney Wayne and Ander Herrera was named as the assistant of the team.

However, in the friendly against Norwegian side Valerenga when both sides emerged from the dugout, Paul Pogba was seen with the arm-band which he inherited from Carrick who captained in the first half.

Smalling has been linked with a move away from old Trafford this summer with West Bromwich Albion said to be interested in his services.
