Girl In Tears As She Is Jailed For Convincing Her 18-Year-Old Boyfriend To Kill Himself

A woman who convinced her teenage boyfriend to kill himself has been jailed for two and a half years. Michelle Carter was just 17 when she encouraged Conrad Roy III, 18, to end his life in a series of sick text messages. .

He died in 2014 of carbon monoxide poisoning, after driving to a secluded parking lot and killing himself. Prosecutors said Carter also told Mr Roy to “get back in” when he got out of his truck, parked in Fairhaven, Massachusetts. .

He had been suffering mental health problems for some time. She was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter.
