Popular activist Just Adetoun has defended her decision not to blur the face of a young girl seen in a viral video accompanying her mother to a sweeping job at 4 a.m.
In an interview with Timi Agbaje, Adetoun explained that keeping the girl’s face visible was intentional, claiming it helped spark the public reaction that ultimately led to support — including a scholarship offer from philanthropist and chess master, Tunde Onakoya.
“If I had blurred that girl’s face, the reactions that came to that post wouldn’t have come… and I’m never going to delete that video. It’s never coming down,” she stated.
Her stance has reignited debate online over the ethics of public exposure versus the impact of social media activism
