Motorist lies under car to resist arrest by VIO (video)

A video showing the moment a motorist on Wednesday, April 23, laid under his car to prevent Vehicle Inspection Officers from arresting him or towing his car has made the rounds on social media.

The incident, which occurred during peak traffic hours, led to a significant traffic backlog stretching towards the Civic Centre axis inward Ozumba Mbadiwe in Victoria Island Lagos state.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, shared the video on X with the caption

“A motorist resisting arrest from VIO officers has kept under his vehicle thereby creating a scene and avoiding being towed at Akin Adesola inward Ozumba Mbadiwe causing traffic backlog to Civic Centre. VIO officers and Police officers are at the scene as LASTMA officers manage the traffic emanating from the scene.”
