“I’ve never said ‘I love you’” – Falz on why he has never experienced heartbreak

Nigerian rapper and actor Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has opened up about his personal life, revealing that he has never experienced heartbreak in his lifetime.

Speaking during the inaugural live edition of the WithChude podcast hosted by Chude Jideonwo, Falz delved into the intricacies of his romantic experiences, or lack thereof, stating that he has always held back emotionally in relationships.

When asked if he had ever suffered a broken heart, Falz responded with a metaphor:
“I have never been heartbroken. If you don’t put your legs inside water, can you drown? I haven’t presented my heart that much to be broken. I have been giving small of it ooo.”

He went on to clarify that while he is capable of affection and emotion, he has never taken the step of fully expressing romantic love.

“But in a romantic way, I have never told somebody ‘I love you’. It is not a sad thing, I’m not devoid of emotion, don’t get it twisted. I have said, ‘Oh, I really, really like you’. I just haven’t said ‘I’m in love with you.’”

Falz’s candid confession sparked a flurry of reactions online, with fans praising his honesty and some relating to his cautious approach to romance.
