Nigerians protest VeryDarkMan’s arrest, demand his immediate release

Nigerians have taken to the streets with signposts to protest the arrest of VeryDarkMan, demanding that those responsible for his detention release him.

The protest was captured in a video shared on the popular social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

In the video, one of the demonstrators is heard expressing his opinion and calling for VeryDarkMan’s release.

He stated: “EFCC, if you’re the one that arrested VDM, free him.”

As he spoke, a loud chorus of voices echoed as several others joined in, demanding the release of VeryDarkMan.

The online personality is alleged to have been arrested outside a GTBank branch after visiting with his mother to lodge a complaint about an unauthorized deduction from her account. Shortly after exiting the bank, he was detained.

While it remains unclear which agency arrested him, his supporters have taken to both social media and the streets to call for his freedom.

As the video gained traction online, concerned individuals flooded the comment section to voice their opinions.
