22-year-old man tortured to death in Imo for allegedly stealing power bank (video)

A 22-year-old Nigerian man has reportedly died in Owuelu Uratta, Owerri North LGA of Imo State after being tortured over an alleged theft of a power bank.

This was revealed in a video shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

The post, made by @ChuksEricE, shows the young man tied to a wall as he is repeatedly beaten by a man in a white shirt.

Despite apologizing during the ordeal, the beating continued for several minutes.

The video’s caption and context suggest that the victim later died as a result of the torture.
