Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Wolves striker Matheus Cunha, with the club set to trigger his £62.5million release clause.
According to Journalist Ben Jacobs, Cunha has reached an agreement on a five-year contract at Old Trafford, with the Red Devils set to speak directly to Wolves this week in order to trigger his £62.5 million ($83.4m) release clause.
United have endured a tough season, losing in the Europa League final to Tottenham, and won’t compete in Europe next season for just the second time in 35 years after finishing in 15th in the Premier League.
Cunha, who signed a new four-year deal with Wolves in February, has scored 15 times and provided six assists in the league this Season, and has been heavily linked with United throughout the campaign.
Manchester United coach, Ruben Amorim is desperate to bolster his attacking options with Rasmus Hojlund misfiring, while Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford look set to leave in the summer.
