Iran launches over 100 drones at Israel in retaliation strike

The Israeli military has confirmed that Iran has launched a large-scale retaliatory attack, deploying more than 100 drones toward Israeli territory.
 

“All aerial defense systems have been activated to intercept the threats,” said IDF spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari. “This is unlike anything we’ve experienced before — we are preparing for difficult hours ahead.”
 

The escalation follows a series of Israeli airstrikes on Iranian targets, prompting Israel to declare a national state of emergency. The operation, dubbed Operation Rising Lion, was described by the Israeli Defense Forces as a “pre-emptive, precise, combined offensive based on high-quality intelligence.”
 

Among the high-profile casualties of the Israeli strikes was Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Iran’s Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces — a development that significantly heightened tensions between the two nations.
 

Israeli authorities have urged civilians to remain alert and follow all safety instructions as defense forces continue efforts to intercept incoming threats.
