UNIZIK law student reportedly passes away after struggling to access medication

Tragedy reportedly strikes Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) following the passing of a law student, Ajana Chioma Isabella.

According to reports, Ajana passed away after being denied access to her medication due to a hostel policy dispute.

Isabella, a chronically diabetic student, lost her room key and requested a spare key from her hostel management.

However, the management insisted she pay a significant fee for the replacement key, citing a policy that demands payment for lost keys, regardless of circumstances.

Eventually, she collapsed, was rushed to the hospital in hypoglycemic shock, and passed away a few days later.

Meanwhile, the incident has sparked outrage and criticism online, with the management of UNIZIK yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
