After sponsoring her trip to the U.S. for church program, pastor’s wife ghosts husband and five children

A Nigerian pastor has shared a deeply emotional story about how his wife, who is also a pastor, abandoned him and their five children after traveling to the United States.

In a viral clip shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @ChukErice, a woman was sent by her husband to represent him at a church program in the U.S. back in 2016

After the event, she returned to Nigeria the same year, but she had been granted a two-year visiting visa by American authorities.

Upon her return, the pastor said his wife began acting differently, often complaining that “Nigeria now felt somehow” to her. By 2017, she told him she wanted to go back to the U.S. to “complete her two-year visa.”

In an act of support and love, the husband sold his car to sponsor her second trip. Unfortunately, that decision change his life forever, because since her departure in 2017, she has never returned.

The heartbroken pastor revealed that despite 23 years of marriage and five children together, his wife has completely cut off contact.

The story has since gone viral on social media, with many Nigerians expressing mixed reactions. While some sympathized with the pastor’s pain, others used the moment to warn men about blind trust, especially when it comes to spousal travels.

As the pastor continues to care for his five children alone, his story has become a cautionary tale about love, sacrifice, and betrayal.
