“Polygamy only hurts women and children” — Erigga

Nigerian rapper Erigga has shared his honest thoughts about polygamy, saying it causes more harm than good — especially to women and children.

Speaking in an interview with Yanga FM Lagos, the rapper revealed that his opinion comes from personal experience, having grown up in a polygamous family.

“I’m trying not to be like my father. I don’t like polygamy. One person always gets hurt, and it’s usually the woman. There’s never a polygamous situation where the man suffers — it’s always the women and the kids,” he said.

Erigga advised men to embrace monogamy instead, describing it as a simpler and more peaceful path for everyone involved.
