No shortcuts for Peter Obi; He must contest 2027 presidential election – Lawyer Adeyanju

Human rights activist and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has insisted that Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, must contest again in the 2027 presidential election to prove his strength.

Adeyanju, in a post shared on social media, warned that Obi should not take an “easy way out” by accepting to be Atiku Abubakar’s running mate in the next election.

Adeyanju’s Post Sparks Reactions

He wrote: “Obi must be on the ballot in 2027; I want to check something. It’s Obi or nothing in 2027. He must not get the easy way out by becoming Atiku’s deputy. He can do it all by himself with his obidient mob. Go Ekuke FC, go.”

The post quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions from social media users.

Toba Popoola commented: “The same way you said you would trek from Abuja to Kano if he got one million votes in 2023.”

Godswill Chigozie wrote: “I didn’t see him talking to Peter Obi. I only saw Obi in his write-up which means he might be talking to another person. If them born Deji well make him mention Peter Obi to his post again. The fear of court cases is the beginning of your learning… Mumu charge and bail lawyer.”

Osamudia added: “You think say Nigerians get time for other politicians? A free and fair election devoid of thuggery and rigging, I can bet my life, Obi will win before 2pm.”
