Nigeria to face Mozambique in AFCON round of 16

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will play the Mambas of Mozambique in the last 16 of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations following the completion of the group stage phase of the tournament on Wednesday.

The Super Eagles qualified for the knockout stages as winners of Group C, following victories over Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda.

Nigeria will face Mozambique on Monday night, January 5, at Fez Stadium. The time for the match is set for 8 pm Nigeria time.

The Africa Cup of Nations 2025 Round of 16 kicks off January 3–6, 2026, across multiple Moroccan cities.

The last‑16 ties will determine who moves on to the quarter‑finals scheduled for January 9–10.
