If a man truly loves his woman, he will give her money. Not doing so is a red flag – Nigerian man says

A Nigerian man, Abraham Augustine, has said that a man who truly loves his woman will give her money, buy her gifts or support her in little ways he can.

He stated in a Facebook post on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 after a lady complained that her man doesn’t give her money even when she asks.

According to Augustine, a man who doesn’t give in a relationship is a red flag.

He noted that people assist those they don’t even date so such generosity should be extended to spouses. 

“Giving in a relationship is based on the heart condition of both parties. There’s no man who truly loves a woman that won’t give. You must not have plenty to give; one must be intentional, and that’s sacrifice. There’s no woman who loves a man that won’t give. Women have money too. Even God gave us His best to prove His love,” he wrote. 

“However, a woman’s life is full of expenses. At least, surprise your woman and give her money to make her hair, buy some important things for her upkeep. It’s not your responsibility, but this is the woman you want to marry. Would she rather look tattered for you? God forbid. Let’s not deceive ourselves. If a man truly loves a woman, he will give her money, period.

“It’s not a sweeping statement that a man who doesn’t give in a relationship is a huge “red flag” 

“The general consensus is that women have money too. They should give too. While that may be true.

“However, giving a woman money isn’t about lavishly spending on her. A man must give.

“It’s an intentional movement. How can you be dating a woman and you’ve never given her money to make her hair, buy her gifts or support her in little ways you can.

“We assist people we don’t even date. That’s kindness. Why can’t same kindness be extended to the woman we love? Kindness makes a man attractive. If you don’t give in a relationship. You can’t give in marriage.”
