“Most households are run by a single mother, whether she has a husband or not” Relationship coach Matthew Coast and Nigerian influencer Raye write

A man has said that most women are single mother, even when they are married. 

Matthew Coast, a relationship coach, wrote that many households are run by single mothers. He added that in some cases, those single mothers are married. 

He wrote: “What people don’t understand is that MOST households are run by a single mother, whether she has a husband or not.” 

He went on to refer to married women who run their hiusehold with little or no support from their husbands as “married single mothers”. 

Nigerian influencer, Ruth Ushie Uguamaye, aka Raye, who went viral for speaking against the government during her NYSC also gave her opinion on the topic. 

She shared Matthew Coast’s post and wrote: “Some people weren’t raised by two parents, they were raised by their mother while their father just lived in the house.
Presence is not the same as parenting.
 

“So it’s strange when people look down on single-parent homes as if emotional absence is better than honesty about who actually showed up.”
