The Federal Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) has disbursed a total of N1.969 trillion from federation revenue accrued in December 2025 to the Federal Government, state governments, and local councils.
According to the FAAC communiqué released after its monthly meeting on Monday, the total distributable revenue was made up of statutory allocations, Value Added Tax (VAT), and the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL). FAAC reported that the total gross revenue for the month was N2.585 trillion, after deducting costs of collection and setting aside funds for transfers, refunds, and savings.
The communiqué noted that while gross statutory revenue fell compared to November, VAT receipts rose sharply, reflecting growth in non-oil revenue streams. The December distribution saw significant funds flowing to all tiers of government, including oil-producing states through derivation revenue.
From the N1.969 trillion total distributable revenue, allocations were as follows:
Federal Government: N653.500 billion
State Governments: N706.469 billion
Local Government Councils: N513.272 billion
Derivation revenue (13% of mineral revenue to oil-producing states): N96.083 billion
A detailed breakdown of statutory revenue (N1.084 trillion) showed:
Federal Government: N520.807 billion
States: N264.160 billion
Local Governments: N203.656 billion
Oil-producing states (derivation): N96.083 billion
From the VAT revenue of N846.507 billion:
Federal Government: N126.976 billion
States: N423.254 billion
Local Governments: N296.277 billion
