Does this make me a bad person?- Lady asks after deleting the contact of her childhood friend whose progress seemingly affects her mental health

A Nigerian lady has sparked a debate on X after sharing her reaction to her childhood friend’s progress. 

In a post shared on her handle, the X user said she recently deleted her childhood friend’s contact on her phone because each time the said friend updated her Whatsapp status, it made her feel a certain way. 

According to her, the childhood friend seems to have everything going well for her, work wise as well as relationship while she on the other hand, has nothing. She said the childhood friend’s post tends to sting her anytime she views it and so to save herself the mental torture, she chose to delete the contact from her phone.

She went on to ask if her action implies that she is a bad person. Some of her followers referred to her as a ‘’jealous person’ while others understood the pressure on her and supported her decision.
