“Six assignments every day is too much” — Concerned mum calls out Lagos schools over heavy homework load

A frustrated mother has cried out to the Lagos State Government over what she described as the increasing and overwhelming amount of homework being given to pupils, especially in Lekki.

In a video making the rounds online, the mum lamented that children are now being given as many as six assignments daily, leaving them exhausted and overstimulated.

She argued that the children are becoming overwhelmed and no longer genuinely learning but merely going through the motions.

“These children are overstimulated. They are acting like zombies,” she added, calling on authorities to urgently review the workload being placed on pupils.
